JS Vintage ’63 PrinceTone Ultimate and DI v2 Tone Model Collection
JS Vintage ’63 PrinceTone Ultimate and DI v2 is based on Jason’s all-original 1963 Princeton Tuxedo (6G2) — a rare early-’60s Fender circuit celebrated for its touch sensitivity, harmonic richness, and beautifully smooth transition from clean to breakup.
As part of the Vintage Series, this collection takes a deep and meticulous approach, documenting how this amp responds across its most musically meaningful volume range — from 4 through 10 — using both inputs. Rather than offering a handful of representative tones, this set preserves the way the amp truly evolves as it’s pushed, capturing the subtle shifts in feel, compression, and harmonic character that make these vintage circuits so special.
What makes this release unique is that it includes two complete capture sets, each created from the same amp but approached with a slightly different tonal intent.
The Original models lean a touch more open and immediate, with extra sheen and bite.
The “D” models lean a touch smoother and more restrained, offering a rounder, more relaxed feel.
These are not processed variations — each set was captured intentionally from the amp to reflect a different side of its personality. The differences are subtle, but musically meaningful, giving you more flexibility depending on guitar, touch, and mix context.
Together, this results in a comprehensive Vintage Series release that delivers 56 total Tone Models — effectively two full perspectives of this remarkable Princeton — thoughtfully included as part of the Vintage ’63 PrinceTone v2 collection.
What’s Included
