The Fried Plex is back — and this time with a completely different voice.
 
The Fried Plex GB Ultimate v2 Collection revisits one of my most popular amp collections, capturing the incredible Friedman Vintage Plex through a 1x12 Celestion Heritage Greenback 20.
 
This speaker is an absolutely killer pairing with the amp, delivering that unmistakable Greenback character with a rich midrange, beautiful top-end detail and an incredibly musical response as the amp is pushed harder.
 
For this collection I captured both Channel i and Channel ii, using both the Low Voltage and High Voltage settings of the amp. Each combination was captured across six different volume settings — 2L, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 — giving you everything from cleaner and lower-gain Plexi tones through thick, harmonically rich overdrive.
