The Vintage ’63 PrinceTone Ultimate collection for Neural DSP Quad Cortex is based on Jason’s all-original 1963 Princeton Tuxedo (6G2) — a rare early-’60s American amplifier prized for its touch sensitivity, harmonic richness, and beautifully smooth transition from clean to breakup.
 
This release brings Jason’s Vintage Series philosophy to Quad Cortex:
document the amp properly, across the most musically meaningful settings, so you can experience how its feel and tone truly evolve as it’s pushed.
 
Rather than offering a handful of snapshots, this collection captures the amp at Volume settings 4 through 10 on Input 1, preserving its journey from warm, open cleans to rich, harmonically complex breakup.
 
To further honor the character of this rare amp, the collection includes two complementary capture approaches:
Original captures with an open, immediate top end
“D” captures with a subtly smoother, more relaxed voicing
 
The differences are not drastic, but musically meaningful — giving you two authentic shades of the same vintage circuit to suit different guitars, touch, and mix contexts.
