This capture collection is a collection of amp/cab captures based off a Suhr SL67 “Plexi” amplifier.
This bundle is a set of captures based off various settings on the amp meticulously captured through a 2x12 Revv Amplification Celestion G12H-75 Creamback loaded speaker cabinet mic’ed with a Royer R10 ribbon mic.
This collections tones profile an array of different gain settings and input settings. The collection includes 14 amp/cab captures with the amp at various gain levels and settings.
The naming convention for the tone models are, for example, as follows:
js_sir_plex_67_x_xx_(L or H).nam
The single “x” signifies the overall level of gain level with 1 being lowest amount of gain and 3 being the highest amount. The double “xx” small roman numeral signifies the input that was used on the amp. Finally, the “L” or “H” signifies whether the amp was on “low power mode” or “high power mode”. The difference between these settings can be very subtle but meaningful. In the interest of offering a thorough representation of what the amp is capable of, the decision was made to offer tones based off both modes.
These captures are created to sound most accurate with an input level of 0dbu = -11 dbfs.
Feel free to use these captures as starting points to dial in your own tones or use them as dialed in by default.
