One of my most popular amps gets an entirely new voice with the NAM A2 Fried Plex GB Ultimate Collection.
This collection captures the Friedman Vintage Plex through a 1x12 Celestion Heritage Greenback 20 — an absolutely killer combination that brings out the amp's rich midrange, dynamic response and classic British character.
Both Channel i and Channel ii were captured using the amp's Low Voltage and High Voltage settings, with six different volume settings for each combination — 2L, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10.
The result is 24 NAM A2 captures covering everything from cleaner and lower-gain Plexi sounds through progressively more driven tones and full-on cranked amp overdrive.
