THIS COLLECTION IS DESIGNED TO BE USED WITH KEMPER PROFILER PRODUCTS. A KEMPER HEAD, RACK OR STAGE IS REQUIRED TO USE THIS RIG COLLECTION.
This rig collection is a collection of studio profiles/rigs based off a Suhr SL67 “Plexi” amplifier. This bundle is a set of profiles/rigs based off various settings on the amp meticulously captured through a 1x12 Celestion G12M-65 Creamback loaded speaker cabinet.
This collections tones profile an array of different gain settings. The collection includes 22 studio rigs with amp and cab all at various gain levels and settings. If you would like to create Liquid Profiles for this amp based off of a “Plexi” style amp in the Kemper, I suggest you utilize the Push 2 (IH) and Push 2 (IIH) profiles with the actual amp settings that were used during profiling, which will be included in the .pdf you receive with this collection.
The naming convention for the rigs are, for example, as follows:
JS – Sir Plex 67 (Cln/Push/OD) x (I or II, H or L)
The naming “Cln”, “Push” and “OD” signify the overall gain level. The single “x” number signifies the level of gain within the previous mentioned overall gain level. If the name contains an “I” or a “II” it signifies the input that was used (“I” being the “Hi” channel and “II” being the “Low” channel). If the name contains “Jmp” it is both inputs “jumped” together. “H” signifies the higher voltage setting on the amp and the “L” signifies the lower voltage setting on the amp.
Some of the profiles in the collection will have very subtle differences between them, but in the interest of trying to capture all that this amp is capable of, I thought it was worth offering. Some of the profiles are very much by design, captured with extreme settings once again offering as many possibilities as the amp is capable.
- Cln – Amp set to a clean on either the high or low voltage and either the 1st or 2nd input.
- Push 1 – Amp set to an edge of breakup either the high or low voltage and either the 1st or 2nd input or the inputs “jumped”.
- Push 2 – Amp set to a higher gain level compared to either the high or low voltage and either the 1st or 2nd input or the inputs “jumped”.
- OD – Amp set to it’s highest gain level either the high or low voltage and either the 1st or 2nd input or the inputs “jumped”.
Feel free to use these rigs/profiles as starting points to dial in your own tones or use them as dialed in by default.
